Dark is surely one of the most impressive science fiction series ever to come out of Germany. Created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese it has won huge critical praise, with Rotten Tomatoes scores of 95% (critics) and 94% (audience). With a haunting musical score, moody visuals and wonderful acting, it ran for three seasons from 2017 to 2020.

The plot is ambitiously complex, following a cast of characters in the fictional German village of Winden; the story interwoven into several different decades and generations as they try to discover the truth behind a child's sudden and seemingly inexplicable disappearance. A sinister time-travelling conspiracy emerges...
